Dawn of The Planet of The Apes (2014) (4/5)

- Who is this guy and where have I seen him before? (Apparently his name is Jason Clarke)
- Very limited screen time for Gary Oldman, what a waste of talent
- The CGI is amazingly amazing
- The apes speak super slow, as if they have barely speak English, but someone apparently bothered to teach them proper grammar as well; they understand tenses!!
- Oh, James Franco is in the previous movie? I cannot really remember. Oopsie.

Friend: Oh, so you have watched Dawn of The Planet of The Apes? How was it?”
Me: (in a hurried and slightly ignorant mode): There are a lot of monkeys …
Sorry, you just caught me in a wrong timing :p

The Family Man (2000) (3.5/5)

- What do you normally do when you are feeling down and unmotivated? For me, I usually google “list of inspirational movies”, “movies that can motivate you”, “movies to lift up your spirit”. But most of the time, I found that I have watched most of the movies mentioned in the online list. So, when I saw one that I have not watched, and it seems that it is not that heavy for my current messed up mood, I decided to give it a go.
- It is cheesy and predictable, but I get exactly what I expect.
- Given the choice to me, I would definitely choose career, no matter how many times I have to repeat the scenario (ok, nobody is going to make a movie out of me, lol)

The Summit (2012) (3/5)

The story of the deadliest day on the world’s most dangerous mountain, when 11 climbers mysteriously perished on K2.

- I normally more interested in documentaries on Mount Everest instead of K2, but why not, the more knowledge the better
- The editing was confusing though, I don’t understand why do they present all the highlights of the incidents in the first 30 minutes of the movie and suddenly coming back to three months before the summit attempts.

Bad Neighbours (2014) (3.5/5)

- Not a huge fan of Zac Efron, but his body is wow.
- It was very messy, I cannot even imagine how the script looks like, but it is funny, so it delivers what’s expected at least.

Divorce Corp (2014) (2.5/5)

- Moral of the story: think twice or thrice before getting married and/or having kids in US
- And maybe start thinking to move to Scandinavian countries

Every song, we do at a different location. Under the bridge. Chinatown. Rowing boat in Central Park. Whatever happens, we record it.

We get arrested?

Keep rolling.

Het Diner/The Dinner (2013) (3/5)

- I forgot how rude and direct Dutch people can be
- The plot twist is kind of boring and not up to the expectation built up from the first half of the movie

The Fault in Our Stars (2014) (3.5/5)

 Pain demands to be felt

- Shailene Woodley is so beautiful.
- This guy is so damn confident even though he is not that good looking.
- Gosh, I miss Holland.
- One tweet post in Tumblr gives out the huge spoiler (who dies at the end). Can we just agree to keep all those tweets at Twitter?
- Annnddd my housemate who has watched it gives out another (complementary) huge spoiler based on the book that she just finished reading. Spoiler alert: this one doesn’t happen in the movie.
- It seems that if both of them die at the end would be too depressing for mainstream audiences (Oops, I want to join in the spoiler giving community :p)
- Perhaps I have too high of expectation before hand, it was okay only. And I didn’t cry at all.

Taken 2 (2012) (2.5/5)

- It reminds me of the first Taken movie, for which I went to the local premiere event and nobody knows or gives a shit of that sexy director Pierre Morel
- And everytime I see Liam Neeson’s sad face, I remember the tragic ski accident that kills his wife

- Oh gosh, the script is terrible
- This Maggie Grace also cannot act
- Punch to the face, attacking the throat, I think he is using a lot of Krav Maga techniques
- I know this is an action movie and I should not expect much from the script, but they really let you call your daughter first when three guns are pointed at you and another one at your wife’s head?
- So you are telling me that this movie is about the daughter rescuing the parents? This is going to get worse.
- Ok, it’s really bad. And damn violent.
